In a Series A round of funding led by Hummingbird Ventures, social media management startup Engagor has raised $2.6 million.

Launched in February 2011, Engagor allows brands to monitor conversations, and interact with users across all major social networks. Its roster currently sports top companies among the likes of Coca Cola, McDonald’s, and Red Bull.

With the $2.6 million in new funding, it plans on making a dent in the U.S. with an office opening in San Francisco.

According to CEO Folke Lemaitre, what separates Engagor from the competition is its focus on a wide variety of social media solutions versus one or two key products.

Starting today, a new feature is rolling out, enabling teams to better track each other’s performance. As an example, individual team members will be able to see each other’s replies, and if a team member is lacking, others will be able to step in.

Engagor is geared towards mid to large businesses, and its plans start at $500 per month which all include a free trial.
