Demi Lovato’s “Really Don’t Care” Music Video Shows Pride And Goes Viral [Watch]

Demi Lovato Really Dont Care

What better place and time to shoot a music video for a song about not caring what anyone else things then at the LA gay pride festival in West Hollywood, California? Demi Lovato took advantage of this opportunity and shot the video for her newest single “Really Don’t Care” while taking on the role of LA Pride Parade Grand Marshal.

The fun and exciting music video has a TON of celebrity cameos, including her boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama. If you blink you’ll miss him (2:31). It may seem strange to have him appear in a video about a break-up sounding song, but Lovato said the song has a completely different meaning now.

“When I originally wrote it, it was a breakup song. But now I have sung it so many times that it kind of no longer has a significance in that sort of way. When I sing it, I always want to inspire and empower. I thought what other people could relate to really not caring what people think. I thought of bullies and the LGBT community who are constantly scrutinized. What better place is there than L.A. Pride to celebrate who you are and not really caring what people think?”

Other appearances include: Cher Lloyd, who sings on the track, Perez Hilton, Kat Graham, Bridegroom’s Shane Bitney Cone, and one badass ending with Travis Barker on the drums. Lovato got help from many organizations and places for this colorful video: The Trevor Project, Chris Frederick & NYC Pride, and the City of West Hollywood.

“Really Don’t Care” got over 2 million views on YouTube in one day. Wow. Demi and friends give an inspirational message with an upbeat musical track. See for yourself and share in the comments!
