Clowns are supposed to be funny, but if you’re driving down a street in the middle of a night and there’s a creepy clown standing in the middle of it would you stop to say hi?

A creepy clown has been going around Staten Island day and night spooking local residents. Photos people have taken show the person fully dressed up in a yellow clown costume with a ruffled top, red clown shoes, and a white painted face holding two balloons.

The clown has been spotted in several different areas in Staten Island near the Grasmere and Richmond Valley train stations, and also in Bulls Head around Richmond Avenue.

The clown has gone viral on Twitter in the past few hours.

In 2013 there were disturbing reports of a clown terrorizing northwest England, and around 19 people being chased by pranksters in clown outfits.
