Fox is reportedly in talks to revive the hit show, The X-Files. According to Digital Spy, Fox is discussing whether it should bring back the show with a 24 type of format. At a recent TCA press tour, chairmen from the Fox Television Group, Dana Walden and Gary Newman, talked about the chance of reviving it with a limited series.

“It’s true that we’ve had some conversations on The X-Files,” Newman said. “We’re hopeful of being able to bring that back at some point. Gary and I both worked [at 20th Century Fox Television] through the entire run of The X-Files. It was a great experience. We’ve maintained good relationships with Chris, David and Gillian. We’re very hopeful, but it’s hard. The actors are very busy. They have a lot going on. Chris has a lot on his plate, so it’s just trying to carve out the time.”

Even though the actors may be very busy, they have expressed their interest in coming back to the sci-fi show. Gillian Anderson says she would love to return, but she does have several projects underway and is raising her children.

Only time will tell where the discussions will end up.
