Coolio didn’t have any plans after his concert Lancashire, England so he decided to hang out with some college kids. But Coolio ain’t no freeloader. In addition to entertaining for his new friends, he also cooked.
Yes, Coolio cooked for a bunch of college kids after his concert.
Lorcantc relays the story on Reddit: “He was playing a gig in our city, and a few of my housemates were in the VIP after party. He came back to our house afterwards, and told us that he wasn’t busy that night so would come over and cook us dinner.”
So what did Coolio cook? Apparently the menu included Coolio’s Caprese Sald, Chicken á la Daaaamn, and Peach Crumble.
In case you don’t know, Coolio occasionally refers to himself as the Ghetto Gourmet.
After dinner, one of the kids picked up a guitar and Coolio gave an intimate performance of “Gangster’s Paradise.” (Check out the 4:15 mark when Coolio breaks from the script and starts to freestyle.)
Seriously, how cool was that?
Lorcantc adds: “It was fascinating. He shared a lot of thoughts about his time with Tupac, including how he spoke with him the day he died. A lot of insight in to his upbringing and life on the streets. He is pretty switched on. I not only learned how to sharpen a knife last night, but a lot of deep life lessons from Coolio. All whilst sipping from a bottle of Patrón.”
