Keisha Johnson, the 16-year-old who unwillingly became the confused face meme girl, is reportedly suing Instagram for $500 million.
According to OdGossip, Johnson is upset that her photo is being mocked on the internet. The 16-year-old reportedly told the website that it was just a bad photo and that she doesn’t deserve to be an internet joke.

She told OdGossip: “My face looked ugly like I was about to throw up.. I look nothing like that in real life… Im really a bad b*tch!”
Unfortunately for Johnson, there’s really nothing that she can do to get the photo removed from the internet. Even if she successfully sues Instagram (which probably won’t happen) the photo will still get spread around. Of course, she might feel a little better being the confused face meme girl if she had an extra $500 million in her bank account.
Instagram doesn’t have control over what people upload (unless there’s a nipple in the photo) so it’s unlikely that the company will be held liable for the meme. It’s too bad that Keisha Johnson is being ridiculed over a bad photo but her lawsuit is successful it will probably mean the death of all memes. No more Bad Luck Brian or Disaster Girl or #ThingsThatTimHowardCanSave… Could their be one big class action meme lawsuit in the future?
