Canadian bobsledder Christopher Spring will be the first to admit that he doesn’t have washboard abs, but it seems that the team’s suit designers didn’t take that into account when they made his uniform for the Sochi Olympics.
Spring took to Twitter Saturday to show off a wardrobe malfunction that proves it, writing, “I tried on my race suit ahead of tomorrow’s 2man Olympic race and it’s a little…er tight.” He added the hashtag #powerbelly” at the end. Given the suit’s inability to hold up against Spring’s tummy, it’s probably a good thing he tried the suit on the day before the competition, rather than the day of.

Yahoo! Sports notes that this is the first Olympics where Spring has competed for Canada, and his entrance into the sport, as well as his citizenship in Canada, is an interesting story. He was on a one-year work visa in Canada when he watched the Canadian Bobsleigh Championships and fell in love with the sport.
He competed in Vancouver in 2010 before he gained Canadian citizenship and became the pilot of Canada’s second-best two-man team. With any luck, the Canadian Olympic committee was able to get Christopher Spring a new suit before the bobsled competition tonight.
