27 years ago Katheryn Deprill was abandoned by her parents in a Burger King bathroom, now thanks to the power of Facebook she is reaching out for help to find them.
As many other people have done before her, Deprill has asked that Facebook users share her story in the hopes of tracking down her biological mother.
The South Whitehall Township resident was left in an Allentown Burger King on September 15, 1986. She tells Fox Baltimore, “Someone had heard me crying and they notified the staff and they came in, I was laying there on the floor.”
Katheryn was placed in foster care and was eventually adopted by Brenda Hollis and her family.

Deprill says she has a few questions she wants to ask her biological mother, but doesn’t say if she hopes to form a long lasting relationship with her birth mother. She tells the Allentown Morning Call “that she is neither angry nor resentful nor seeking anything beyond a few answers: What’s my background? My medical history? Why did you leave me behind?”
On her Facebook page she writes:
“I want to say thank you for not throwing me away, literally. If she was a young girl I would hope that we could be friends…I just hope that i can see her and maybe give her a hug.”
Since posting her please on her personal Facebook page on Sunday she has racked up more than 12,700 shares. Here is the post that started her Facebook search:
