Bill Gates Wins The Ice Bucket Challenge

The goal of the Ice Bucket Challenge is to raise awareness of ALS. Of course, some people are also using the challenge to one up their peers. For that game, Bill Gates is the champion.

Bill Gates accepted the Ice Bucket Challenge after he was challenged by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. But instead of simply dumping a bucket of water on his head, Gates designed a machine to do the heavy lifting for him.

Gates says in the video: “I’m glad to give to ALS. It’s a great cause. And I want to accept this challenge but I want to do it better.”

The Ice Bucket Challenge has been picking up some major steam in recent days. In addition to Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg, celebrities like Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon have also taken part in the campaign. And, since each video ends by nominating three additional people, it’s probably going to keep on growing.

Bill Gates may have unofficially won the Ice Bucket challenge with his water dumping machine, but I’m guessing that Elon Musk, if he accepts Gates’ challenge, will find a way to one up his billionaire friend.
