Selling Weed To Cops? Prank Goes Viral But It’s Probably Fake

Selling weed to cops is never a good idea… unless you happen to be a very talented magician. No, scratch that. It’s never a good idea. But it can be very funny.

Calen Morelli posted a video to YouTube this week of himself trying to sell a bag of marijuana to a uniformed officer. When the officer realizes what is happening, he tries to confiscate the drugs and arrest Morelli.

But before he can get the cuffs out…. poof, the marijuana is gone.

The video has been viewed more than 2.5 million times and most people appear to think that it’s fake.

One theory from YouTube suggests that the cop is probably an actor. Morelli may have also used a few camera tricks to make the prank look real.

For instance, the camera zooms in on Morelli (so that the ground isn’t visible) just before the bag disappears. Morelli may have simply dropped the bag and then edited it out in post. But what about that bag of marijuana Morelli shows off at the end of the video, you ask? Well, the magician can be seen balling up the bag in his hands as the cop approaches but at the end of the video the bag is neatly rolled in his pocket. We’re guessing that he had two bags on him.

What do you think? Is this video a fake or did Calen Morelli really try to sell weed to a cop?

The “selling weed to cops” video is probably a fake but that does’t mean it isn’t funny.
