Beasts Of The East: Heat Or Pacers?


Beasts of the East is what Twitter users are calling tonight’s pivotal NBA showdown between the Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers. Social media users helping the NBA promote their marquee late season match-up with a clever title in the great tradition of Don King and P.T. Barnum.

Tonight’s game (8:00 PM ESPN) has huge playoff implications. The Pacers have been atop the NBA standings since early November, but the Heat have closed the gap. With a win tonight, Miami would be tied with Indiana in the loss column and in prime position to snatch home court advantage.

The Heat and Pacers have the most contentious rivalry in the NBA and their fans are weighing in all day. You can chime in on social media with who you think is the better team using hashtage #BeastsoftheEast

If you ask me, Miami has Indiana’s number and will again advance to the Finals this summer. Beasts of the East for the fourth straight year.
