‘Bad Boys 3’ Is In The Works, Says Martin Lawrence

Bad Boys, bad boys, what you gonna do? Martin Lawrence confirmed last night that he was working on making a Bad Boys 3 with Will Smith.

The film is still in the early development stages. According to Lawrence, the movie is happening but they are still waiting on a script

Lawrence told Conan: “I believe so. Yes. I just talked to Jerry Bruckheimer yesterday and he said it’s real, they’re working on the script, they’re getting close and it all looks good.”

Will Smith hasn’t confirmed his involvement but it looks like everyone is on board for one more movie.

Martin Lawrence and Will Smith have been toying with the idea of making a Bad Boys 3 for a long time. According to Jerry Bruckheimer, the biggest problem is scheduling.

Bruckheimer said: “It’s so funny because we’ll get Sony real excited to make the movie, and then Will (Smith) is off doing two movies. And then, Will will come back and be real excited about it, and Sony will say, ‘Well, maybe it’s not the time for this.’ And then, Ride Along came out and was a big hit, and now they’re all excited to make the movie, but Will is off doing something else. It’s just trying to get everybody together to make it. But, we’re working on the script. We have a lot of faith and hope that we’ll do it.”

The first two movies were box office successes. The first movie brought in close to $150 million while the sequel nearly topped $300 million.
