One artist is taking your favorite foods and making them into fashion statements.
Phil Ferguson is a Melbourne-based textile artist who has taken quite a fancy to crocheting food-shaped hats. Nicknamed “Chili Philly”, Ferguson models his creations on his Instagram page.

With his signature dejected look on his face, Chili Philly and his hats have became social media stars. With more than 50,000 followers, Ferguson doesn’t seem to be slowing down with the new hat creations.

In an interview with the BBC, Ferguson explained that he began making the hats as a way to meet new people in the city he had just relocated to. With so many fans, you would think he has meant enough new people by now.
Ferguson has made tons of hats. Chances are, if you can think of it, he has made it into a hat. Tacos, turkeys, coffee, eggplant, pizza… been there, done that.
