I have an intense love/hate relationship with Apple, I use a MacBook Pro and and iPhone 4 but sometimes I want to throw both of them into a brick wall with all of the force I can muster.
My biggest complaint with my iPhone 4 is the simple fact that toggling back and forth between apps is a pain in the backside, especially when I want to share something on Twitter, but any hate I have is quickly dispersing with Apple’s announcement on Monday that iOS 5 will directly integrate many of Apple’s apps, including Safari, Photos, Camera, YouTube and mapping.
What does this mean for users? Essentially once you have signed into your integrated Twitter account you can send messages right from built-in program support. For example you can Tweet from within Safari to share a web link or picture, while you can Tweet out photos from your photos section and share YouTube links without leaving that application. Perhaps you want to show your location from a map? Location based Tweet it!
If that isn’t enough for you Twitter will also integrate with your contacts so you can start searching by a persons name and pull up their Twitter account information.
iOS 5 users will also find it simple to send their location when Tweeting since the OS is integrated with the Twitter application and is therefore able to share information with your iPhone’s powerful location based services setup.
Now if Apple would just bake Facebook into the OS that follow iOS 5 I would be in heaven.
