True Anna Kendrick enthusiasts would know she is more than a Pitch Perfect singer or a friend to Twilight vampires. Getting her start in Broadway, Kendrick was the third youngest Tony Award nominee and participated in many on stage productions.
Her debut last night on ‘Saturday Night Live’ certainly displayed her true talent, while winning over a majority of the audiences’ hearts. Kendrick has been sitting nicely as a trending topic on Facebook since this morning. The “Dongs All Over The World” sketch, featuring most SNL ladies: Kate McKinnon, Sasheer Zamata, Cecily Strong, and Aidy Bryant, has over 60,000 views in under 24 hours proving to be a fan favorite.
It’s about time ladies got down with the dirty verses. Finally! A lady jam that glorifies sexual conquests with men all over the world. Kendrick, totally pulling off crimped hair, showcased her rap skills giving The Lonely Island men a run for their money. Icona Pop had a cameo in the video bringing the dirty girl love full circle.
Last night’s episode went full on Disney princess turned bad girl kicking off with a Beauty and the Beast spoof. Major props to Kendrick, playing “Belle” whose charming performance included a Lorne Michaels appearance.
This episode is “perfect” promotion for her upcoming cinematic performances. After watching, how can you not love her?
Thank you for having me SNL!!! It was an honor and I am deeply attracted to all of you.
