Adam Levine is no stranger to infatuated fans. As the frontman for Maroon 5, he has seen his fair share of groupies, but nothing could of prepared him for this crazy woman. The incident was captured by many concert goers and has gone viral.

The band was finishing up their North America tour in Anaheim, California on Monday night, when Adam Levine had a strange run-in with an overzealous fan. The video shows the girl jumping on stage and running to hug the singer. While she frantically claws for a hug, Adam is seen putting his arm around her and trying to calm her down. Fortunately, a crew member walks over and takes her off stage. The band seems unfazed, as the music never skips a beat.

Adam Levine then took time to talk to the crowd. He said the moment was “super terrifying.”

“It’s just weird to be, like, in the moment, ya know? And you’re singing, and your eyes are closed, and you have this beautiful moment. And then the next thing you know someone’s f*cking in your face,” Levine told the crowd.

While he handled the incident like a pro, he did not come out completely unscathed. He received a cut on his ear from the crazy woman’s fingernail.

Fans were furious about the whole deal and they weren’t afraid to show it. They blamed those type of crazy fans for ruining concerts and creating tighter security, which results in seats farther from the stage.
