It’s not a good day to be Adam Kwasman. The Arizona politician is being relentlessly mocked on Twitter today after he accidentally mistook a group of YMCA campers for illegal immigrants.
Congrats to @AdamKwasman for making @GovBrewer seem alright

Kwasman was at the Oracle Protest in Phoenix this morning talking about the country’s failed immigration policies when he spotted a bus coming down the road. Kwasman took a picture of the bus and tweeted it along with the message: “Bus coming in. This is not compassion. This is the abrogation of the rule of law.”
What law? No child shall have fun camping?
Kwasman thought that the bus was full of migrant children from Central America but it turns out that the bus was full of campers. Unfortunately for Kwasman, he didn’t find that out until mid-interview with AZ Central.
Kwasman said: “I was actually able to see some of the children in the buses. The fear on their faces…. This is not compassion.”
But here’s the best part. After being told by the reporter that the children on the bus were actually happy campers, Kwasman tried to stick to his story, saying: “Well they were sad too.”
He later backtracked, deleted his tweet, and apologized for his mistake. Of course, Twitter isn’t letting him get away that easy.
It’s about time someone stood up to the YMCA! State Rep. Adam Kwasman is a hero. — Tina Dupuy (@TinaDupuy) July 16, 2014
Has anyone alerted @AdamKwasman to the migrant children crossing our border by sea? pic.twitter.com/AHfGzjyHOW

Of course, there is a silver lining to this debacle.
Well, the world knows who Adam Kwasman is now. — Astrid Galván (@astridgalvan) July 16, 2014
