What do you do when you accidentally get locked inside a massive cathedral? You tweet and vlog your way to freedom.
Sarah Greep, a jam maker from Plymouth, England, accidentally found herself locked inside St. Andrew’s Church on Sunday. After emerging from private prayer, she found that she was trapped alone inside, but didn’t want to raise any fuss by calling the police.
So instead, she live-tweeted the experience.
Trying to think of best way to get out of this church with minimum disruption. It’s quite calm peaceful in here so in no hurry #Plymouth

She tried using her phone to find a number for the church caretaker, but local police saw her tweet and hunted down a warden with a spare key.
Luckily, they managed to save Greep before cabin church fever got the best of her, reports The Independent. But she was close, and nearly turned on the sacraments for sustenance.
“I spotted some wine, too – I thought God probably wouldn’t mind if I had some, if it really came to it, but in the end someone came and rescued me,” she said.
She also made a very Requiem for a Dream-esque video log of her experience, and while she maintains her composure, it seems apparent that this was meant as her final will and testimony.
Anyway, now that she has been freed and her story has gone viral, it seems the instrument of her salvation (Twitter) has turned on her. She has spent the entire day defending herself from trolls who criticize her for being a fame whore.
@ItsDavidJones call yourself a genius! Read the story properly, find out the facts you’d know the answer. You’re the idiot.

Okay, so it’s really just that guy berating her constantly for not calling the police and making a day of her imprisonment. David, lay off. Ms. Greep is certainly enjoying her 15 minutes, and we’d like to see you turn down yours if the situation were reversed. Not wanting to bother the police when her life is hardly in danger is a perfectly acceptable and rational excuse for tweeting her way to freedom.
What do you think of Sarah Greep’s story?
