Willie Nelson’s band bus crashed in Texas before dawn on Saturday, leaving three people injured. The musician tweeted out the details of the wreck a few hours later, assuring that the country star wasn’t on the bus when the wreck happened.

The bus was traveling on Interstate 30 80 miles east of Dallas when it spun out of control in a storm and crashed into a bridge pillar. Three of five band members were sent to the hospital, but a release on Nelson’s website assured no one was seriously hurt. The statement read:
“No one suffered serious injuries. Paul English injured his ankle, Billy English suffered a bruised hip and crew member Tom Hawkins has a cracked rib. The other family members on the bus are sore but everyone is expected to recover fully.”
The update was a change from earlier when the media reported that Billy English broke his hip. The band believes the accident happened because of “icy conditions on the road.”
Willie Nelson and Family was scheduled to perform in Robbinsonville, Mississippi on Saturday and Jackson, Mississippi on Sunday. Instead, the band will miss four November shows, which will be rescheduled at a later time. Fellow country stars sent their thoughts and prayers toward the Nelson crew for a quick recovery.
