Twitter Vine App Display’s Porn In ‘Editor’s Picks’ Section, Angers Users

Twitter Vine Editor Pick

Yesterday we revealed that Twitter’s Vine app has become a bastion of porn-based homemade and professional flicks. On Monday internet users displayed outright anger after an editor for the video service listed a piece of pornography in the services “Editor’s Picks” section.

The clip was only six-seconds long but featuring it at the top of the users’ home screen with a warning notice was enough to anger Twitter Vine users.

The video selection quickly made its way to the “Popular now” section on Twitter Vine and remained in place even after the adult flick was removed from the Editor’s Picks.

Twitter apologized for the snafu, calling it a bit of “human error.”

In a press statement Twitter said:

“A human error resulted in a video with adult content becoming one of the videos in Editor’s Picks, and upon realizing this mistake we removed the video immediately.”

The micro-blogging service added:

“We apologize to our users for the error.”

In some cases users were clicking on the porn based Editor’s Pick because they thought it was a joke.

Do you think will suffer a big blow because of this mistake or will users forget about it after watching hours of pet-based Vines?
