Could you imagine losing your best friend just before Christmas? That was nearly the situation for one young train passenger. The little girl and her father were traveling on an East Coast train at King’s Cross on Friday when she lost her beloved constantly companion — a teddy bear.
The lost bear was discovered by Twitter user Lauren Bishop Vranch (@laurenannbishop) who sent out the following Tweet:

That message received nearly 2,500 retweets and was even posted on several popular Facebook groups. The young girls father, Ben Simpson, eventually spotted the lost bear on one of the websites that picked up the story. He tells UK paper Metro: “WOW the power of the internet and kind folk – that’s my daughter Phoebes bear – she has been in tears all weekend and I’ve just shown her the picture and she is over the moon. Thank you all so much!”
Other users also joined in the hunt for the teddy bear’s owner, including former Reuters social media editor Matthew Keys who tweeted:
