Twitter Reacts To NFL Dunking Ban

Give the NFL credit as a business. Their product is in such high demand, the opinion of the consumer doesn’t really matter. Today the NFL embraced its reputation as the No Fun League announcing they will penalize players who dunk the ball over the goal post following a touchdown.

Never mind the concussion crisis, ex-players slowly turning in to zombies, bullying and multiple off-season arrests. Roger Goodell sat down with his staff of decision makers and said goal post dunking had to go. Football is the ultimate game of emotion and for whatever reason the league feels its necessary to remove emotion from the sport.

No celebrations. No reactions to big plays. Just mindless drones racking in billions of dollars for the league without so much as a fist pump.

Football fans let the NFL have it on Twitter after the news was announced by the NFL’s head of officiating Dean Blandino during an interview on the Dan Patrick Show.

Rest assured guys, the league doesn’t give a sh*t what you think about the rule change. This Fall you’re still getting your League Pass. That fantasy draft will still happen in August. You love your football and the NFL knows it.
