So, by now you’ve probably binged all of Netflix’s critically acclaimed new horror series The Haunting of Hill House (and if you haven’t, you seriously need to reconsider your priorities). You’ve laughed, you’ve cried, you’ve jumped out of your seat shouting “holy sh*t!” several times. But did you notice this one spooky detail that Twitter just can’t handle?
While watching the latest adaption of Shirley Jackson’s novel, which Stephen King himself described as close to a “work of genius,” users claim to have spotted a number of “hidden, unaddressed faces” in the background of the show.
The first to point this out was Twitter user @AWGregor, who said: “Am I actually losing my mind or are there weird creepy faces hidden in the background of random scenes?”
Freaked out by the faces, he uploaded screenshots of various scenes and posted them to the social-networking site.
Some hidden, unaddressed faces in Haunting Of Hill House. The first pic is the first time I noticed one and I actually thought I was losing my mind. If you find more, screenshot them and show me pic.twitter.com/93KJTc8d0U

And it wasn’t long before other users chimed in with their own ghostly sightings, adding a new level of creepy to the already-scary series.
Director Mike Flanagan has even confirmed that viewers eyes aren’t deceiving them, taunting fans with the news that “this isn’t even all of them.”
Seemingly pleased that he wasn’t going mad, @AWGregor added: “I was a very, very scared little kid who constantly had nightmares, and I recall spending many sleepless nights trying to un-see faces I saw shifting in my window curtains.
“Anyway, I thought I was being paranoid about Ladder Face and didn’t go back to double-check until later…”
