Twitter Bug Targets Famous People, Deletes Their Tweets

Twitter Bug Deletes Tweets

Twitter is currently investigating a bug that appears to be deleting the tweets of famous people. Accounts ranging from The Ellen Show to Lady Gaga have watched as tweets that were posted suddenly disappeared.

Justin Bieber Fans, GaGa fans, and others have begun to openly protest the lost of their favorite tweets.

The most famous tweet to vanish? Ellen’s now famous Super Selfie picture from the 2014 Academy Awards.

The Daily Dot points out that the most “heartbreaking tweet” to be removed was the last message sent by deceased Glee star Cory Monteith.

The Twitter status account (@status) posted the follow tweet regarding the bug:

Looking for your favorite Lady Gaga tweet or a stupid and immature message posted by a Justin Bieber? We’re sure all of those messages will reappear once Twitter developers have a little bit of time to delve further into the technical hiccup.
