Twitter Android, iOS Update Combines Content Into Streams

Android iOS

The latest Twitter update for Android, iOS, and mobile.twitter.com will now combine your content into easy-to-use “streams.”

According to a recent blog post, the Discovery tab will allow users to access Tweets, Activity, Trends and account suggestions in one single stream. Previews for the latest trends and activities can be found at the top of the tab, making it easier and faster for folks to dive into their content.

The Search tab is similar to Discovery in its presentation. Tweets, photos, and account results are all presented in one stream. iPhone users will be now be able to access a Search button that is accessible from anywhere within the app. This feature is already available for iPad and Android.

Interactions will now be the default view in the Connect tab. All of your new followers, retweets, and mentions can be found in a single stream. However, users who only want to see their new followers can change this in the settings.

Clicking in a link will now take users directly to the website of their choosing. In previous versions, users were required to click twice to visit the site.

If you’re curious to learn more about the Twitter updates for Android and iOS, then you should pay a visit to either the App Store or Google Play.
