The next time you read a friends Facebook wall and say to yourself “that was a crappy” post, you should probably know that you might be right.
A new study published by Emergency Plumber out of the UK has found that an extraordinary number of people love to tweet on the toilet.
So exactly how common is using a cell phone on the toilet? According to a study by Queen Mary University of London, 1 in 6 cell phones have fecal matter on them.
The overall study also found that while the 18-34 crowd is more likely to tweet on the toilet, both men and women are equally likely to interact while in the bathroom.
The study also finds that cell phones can have up to 500 times more bacteria then a toilet lid.
With a 63% increase in the amount of time spent on mobile devices attributed to social media we can’t say we’re surprised.
