A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles poster featuring an exploding building and a release date of September 11 was posted to Paramount’s official Twitter account in Australia. The tweet was quickly deleted after people complained that was insensitive.

Yes, that’s the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles jumping out of a burning New York City building on a poster advertising a release date of September 11.

Several people agreed with Carbone and complained on Paramount’s Twitter account. Others defended the poster saying that you can’t use the “too soon” argument for an event that happened more than a decade ago.
Do you think the poster is offensive? Should any movie being released on 9/11 be banned from using an exploding building for promotion?
Keep in mind that this poster was shared by Paramount’s Australian Twitter account. The folks down under probably aren’t nearly sensitive to the date 9/11 as their American counterparts.
