The Undertaker Dead? Hoax Claims Wrestler Died From WrestleMania Concussion

The Undertaker was found dead at his home last night after suffering a severe concussion during WrestleMania. At least that’s the story going around the web today.

Of course, the story is fake. It was originally published on the website Empire Sports and then quickly spread around social media sites like Facebook and Twitter.

How do I know it’s fake? Well, for one, a disclaimer on Empire Sports states that the website is “satirical” and is only written for “entertainment purposes. Second, the author of the article, “I Rule All 15,” brags about being the biggest troll on the internet.

Lastly, I just don’t think it’s possible to kill the Undertaker.

The fake story claims that the Undertaker suffered a concussion during his match at WrestleMania. After being checked out by some WWE doctors, Vince McMahon told him to go home and get some rest. Turns out that was a bad idea because the Undertaker died (but not really) in his sleep.

The website cites the Undertaker’s wife, saying: “Being totally honest, I was going into the bedroom feeling completely in the mood. I saw that he was sleeping so I went to wake him and nothing. Not even a hint of him waking up. So I got worried and tried shaking him and shoving him and even hitting him across the back with a folding chair. Nothing working. I checked him breathing and there was a very short breath every few seconds. I called 911 and by the time they got here there was no breathing at all. They fought to bring him back and nothing.”

How believable is that? Within hours of her husband’s death she called Empire Sports and told them that she was trying to have sex with the Undertaker only to realize that he was dead. Come on, I Rule All 15. The “Greatest Troll on the Internet” can surely do better than that.
