Goodbye Krusty The Clown? The Simpsons will be killing off another character at the start of next season and it looks like that character will be Krusty the Clown.
Showrunner Al Jean said that there would be a “major character” death next season in an episode called “Klown in the Dumps.” Jean also gave a hint to the Independent saying that the voice behind the actor had won an Emmy.
That certainly puts Krusty in danger as Dan Castellaneta, the voice behind Krusty the Clown, has won four Primetime Emmy Awards. But Krusty isn’t the only Emmy award winning clown character.
Kelsey Grammer, who voices Sideshow Bob, also has an Emmy Award. So does Jackie Mason, who plays Krusty’s father Hyman Krustofski.
#Simpsons kills character in season premiere, though he/she could return in flashbacks. Clue? Episode title is “Clown in the Dumps.” #tca14

Jean also revealed that the upcoming season would feature a Futurama crossover episode. FX will also be launching a digital Simpsons World that will feature all 522 episodes of The Simpsons. Before the launch of The Simpsons World, FXX will broadcast the entire series during an epic television marathon.
