As if ‘The Magic School Bus‘ return was not enough, another series is coming back to life.

The Powerpuff Girls, Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, are returning to Cartoon Network after the series ended in 2005. Almost 10 years after the show left television, the girls are coming back to bring smiles and laughter to a new generation of kids.

Chief content officer of Cartoon Network, Rob Sorcher, said “We are calling these girls back into action based upon an overwhelming demand for sugar, spice and Chemical X.”

The Powerpuff Girls first aired back in 1998 and returned once more for a 10th anniversary special in 2009. The girls were voiced by Catherine Cavadini as Blossom, E.G. Daily as Buttercup, and Tara Strong as Bubbles. The new episodes of The Powerpuff Girls are set for a 2016 debut.

Social media has been very excited all day for the nostalgic show reboot.
