Jen Selter has close to 1.5 million followers on Instagram. Why? Well, according to popular opinion, a recent NY Post article, and my own eyes, she has a fantastic derriere.
In fact, Selter may have the best butt on Instagram. The 20-year-old from Long Island has earned a massive and loyal following since she joined Instagram last March. Her follower count currently sits at 1,461,837 and includes celebrities like Terrell Owens and Rihanna.
So what secret talent does Selter posses? What attracts millions of followers to her account? Why is Rihanna jealous of this 20-year-old Long Island girl? Unlike Riri, Miley Cyrus, or Kim Kardashian, Selter really isn’t famous for anything other than her butt.
Selter told the NY Post: “I don’t really post a lot of face pictures … I mainly do body selfies … They don’t want to see my face.”
Her Instagram followers may not be focused on her face but that doesn’t mean that they don’t want to see more of her. The 20-year-old selfie-addict has landed endorsement deals from companies like NY20, a NYC water company, and Game Plane Nutrition.
Selter didn’t say how much money she is being paid but she did say that she’s making more than a lot of recent college graduates. And before you accuse Selter of being nothing but another pretty face sexy butt, you should know that she puts in a lot of work to look this good.
She writes on Instagram: “Butt workout- 50 jump squats, 30 butt bridges,1 minute squat jacks, 30 donkey kicks (each leg), 20 Cross back lunges (each leg),100 jumping jacks. Repeat 2-3x.”
Selter has earned close to 1.5 million followers in less than a year thanks to her delightful derriere and the 20-year-old from Long Island is planning on capitalizing on that success. Selter said that she has plans to release her own fitness clothing line in the future.
OK, so normally people like Selter rub me the wrong way. If you’ve read any of my articles you know that people like Kim Kardashian are at the top of my “waste of space” list. But Selter doesn’t fit into that category. She isn’t selling sex tapes. She isn’t starring in reality shows. She’s building a fitness business. This may not be the “traditional” way of doing it but hey, it’s working.
