Michael Wilson is a well-known parkour athlete and free runner and a part of team 3Run — “a world leading professional performance team specializing in the Arts Of Movement – Parkour / Free Running, Martial Arts & Urban Acrobatics.”
As his bio on the 3RUN site states:
Mike is a Former British Gymnast & Professional Parkour and Freerunning Acrobatic Performer. Since the age of 11, his skills have developed a natural way of movement.
He’s also a dad. And by the looks of what he’s done for his son in the YouTube video that’s going crazy viral in recent days, a pretty great one at that.
His son Jayden has been diagnosed with a serious tumor. Doctors gave the young Jayden only a year to live. So Mike wanted to do something special for his courageous son. He explains exactly what in the YouTube description of his emotional video:
I had a replica Spider-Man suit made so i could surprise my son on his 5th Birthday. Unfortunately he has been diagnosed with a Grade 4 Brain Stem Tumor with an average of 1 yr to live. I’m so proud i managed to do this for him, and secretly filmed the surprise with my Go Pro 3+ 🙂
Today he is still with us fighting it all the way, but at least he has Spiderman to take care of him. Here Jayden’s Support Facebook Page
Mike and Jayden’s superhero video has blown up all over social media, especially Twitter where commenters have had nothing but praise for Wilson’s “Spiderman” impersonation surprise:
