Social Media Toasts Vietnam Vets

Vietnam Vets are the toast of social media on the day reserved to honor their sacrifice.

Social media is helping to correct errors made during a dark era of U.S. history. Vietnam was an unpopular war and some civilians took out their hatred for Richard Nixon on combat veterans.

Spend enough time at the VFW and you’ll meet a Vietnam vet with a story about being spit on after returning from a tour.

Thankfully we’ve grown as a society since the days of Richard Milhous and honor troops no matter the politics.

Americans collectively paid tribute to those heroes today. If you can’t go out and shake a vets hand, do the next best thing and give them a shout out on your social media of choice.

Social media users thank the brave Vietnam vets who served our country honorably.
