Snapchat reportedly turned down a $3 billion offer from Facebook, and according to CEO Evan Spiegel, users now share 400 million “snaps” per day.
That number is up from 200 million per day announced back in June, and 350 million in September.
To put it into perspective, according to Internet.org, Facebook users post 350 million photos per day, and Instagram users post 55 million photos per day.
While one could say Snapchat sees more photos posted than Facebook, “snaps” are more than just photos.
Snaps can also include video, and broadcast snaps which are sent to multiple people, could be counted more than once.
However, there’s no denying that Snapchat is growing at an incredibly fast rate, and one of the many reasons Facebook showed interest.
