Skype’s Twitter, Facebook And Blog Hacked By Syrian Electronic Army

The Syrian Electronic Army is back at it again, this time hacking Skype’s blog, Twitter and Facebook account.

Around 4:30 PM Eastern, the following updates were posted:

According to The Next Web, Skype deleted the Facebook post just minutes after it was published.

However, at the time of writing this post, both tweets are still up on the messaging service’s Twitter account.

The Syrian Electronic Army also gained access to its blog, posting “Hacked by Syrian Electronic Army .. Stop Spying!”

Skype was reportedly involved with the NSA’s PRISM program, a massive data collection program which most see as a clear violation of basic freedoms.

However, back in November Skype was cleared of such claims by Luxembourg’s data protection authority after it found no evidence of it providing private data to the NSA.
