A fiery plane crash at San Francisco International Airport has left at least two people dead.

According to KTVU, at least two people were killed when a Boeing 777 operated by Asiana Airlines crashed at SFO.

Witnesses report that the plane hit the runway tail first and then “cartwheeled” down the runway before coming to a rest on its belly. Photos posted to Twitter show the plane with large holes on its roof that had been charred black with smoke. David Eun, an Executive at Samsung who was on the plane, sent out this photo of the crash.

Sadly, it appears that Eun was mistaken about the extent of the injuries. The Inquisitr reported earlier that the Boeing 777 was carrying around 300 passengers at the time of the crash. The flight was identified as Asiana 214 and was coming in from South Korea.

Most of the passengers were able to escape via inflatable slides but at least two of the passengers have already succumbed to their injuries. According to KTVU, dozens more were injured in the crash.

Here’s a photo of the tail of the plane after the crash.

The FAA is currently investigating the crash to find out exactly what happened.
