Sen. Mark Warner Supports Deporting Justin Bieber

Sen. Mark Warner Talks Justin Bieber

Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) would have no problem deporting Justin Bieber if the option ever comes up for a vote. A petition to do exactly that reached 245,000 signatures on the White House’s We The People website. At least 100,000 signatures are needed for the White House to respond.

Warner made the comments on the Chesapeake-based FM99’s “Rumble in the Morning” Tuesday, saying, “As a dad with three daughters, is there someplace I can sign?” He also sent a link to the conversation out on Twitter.

The petition to deport Justin Bieber explains that the teen pop star is “a terrible influence on our nations youth” who is “dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing.” While there were a few supporters who responded to Warner’s tweet, others weren’t so thrilled with the senator’s support of deporting the Biebs.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney announced last week that the petition will have a response “relatively soon.” He added at a press conference last week, “On matters related to visas, I’d refer you to DHS.” The Canadian-born pop star is in the United States on a green card.
