Scarlett Johansson, A Super-Human Drug Mule In First ‘Lucy’ Trailer

Scarlett Johansson in Lucy Trailer

Shortly into the first Lucy trailer we realized Scarlett Johansson is a super-human drug mule.

Lucy is a superhero, action film directed, written, and produced by Luc Besson; scheduled to be released on August 8, 2014. The film stars Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman.

Besson’s dark world is run by the mob, street gangs, drug addicts and corrupted cops.

In watching the intriguing trailer, we see the drug mule role is under apparent duress as Lucy – portrayed by the buxom, blonde Scarlett Johansson – rouses to find she’s been surgically packed with drugs, which she is then forced to deliver.

However, due to some package mishandling (enduring a beating while in custody of some unknown assailants), Lucy is injured and the drugs seeps into her body.

Usually, this is when an unfortunate overdose occurs. But once the mystery blue drug in introduced into her system, Lucy undergoes an unanticipated metamorphosis – seen with a few freakish blinks – and becomes an absolute ‘Black Widow-esk’ badass, with incredible super-human abilities, and a broadening intelligence.

With one coquettish grin we know she’s gone from party girl prey to punctilious predator, as Lucy is now able to harness an ever increasing aspect of her brain’s potential, versus the average 10 percent we typically tap into.

The film Lucy explores what happens when one is given the gift of greater insight, and what others will do to try to stop it.
