When Bengals tight end Jermaine Gresham tossed a ball he had just caught for a 1-yard touchdown in the direction of a female fan in the stands, one opposing fan was having none of it.
The male Saints fan — later identified as a man named Tony Williams — stepped in for the interception. He kind of roughed up the female Bengals fan, Christa Barrett, in the process.
Barrett didn’t seem upset by Williams’ actions. Instead she can be seen smiling and pleading with him for the ball. Williams refused and in the process became the internet’s current bad guy.

These are just a few among many tweets commenting on Williams’ perceived classlessness:

I don’t think is going to nominate Williams for “Gentleman of the Year” anytime soon, but the apparent reason behind why he stole the ball from Barrett does make the situation a little better:
The ball Tony Williams caught from Jermaine Gresham now belongs to his 8-y/o grandson, who was in the next section. He wanted it for him

There is a happy ending to this story. Barrett was given a souvenir ball from a representative of the Saints.
