Reporter Charlo Greene Quits On Live TV, Admits Owning Cannabis Club [Video]

Well, that was an interesting broadcast. KTVA reporter Charlo Greene dropped an F-bomb, admitted that she owned the Alaska Cannabis Club, quit and then walked off the set during a live television broadcast last night.

Greene was wrapping up a report on the Alaska Cannabis Club when she decided that it was time to come clean. She admitted that she owned the club and then said that she was quitting so that she could devote her time to legalizing marijuana.

Greene said:  “Everything you heard is why I, the actual owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club, will be dedicating all of my energy toward fighting for freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska … And as for this job … Well, not that I have a choice, but f— it, I quit.”

Here’s the video.

KTVA issued an apology on Facebook after the broadcast. The station said: “Dear Viewers,
We sincerely apologize for the inappropriate language used by a KTVA reporter during her live presentation on the air Sept. 21. The employee is terminated.”

As for Charlo Greene, well, she’s doing exactly what she said she was going to do. Shortly after quitting she started an IndieGogo campaign to raise money for the legalization of marijuana.

Greene writes: “I’m Charlo Greene, the president and CEO of the Alaska Cannabis Club – Alaska’s only legal medical marijuana resource. I just quit my news reporting job on live TV to announce that I am redirecting all of my energy toward helping to end a failed drug policy that has ruined the lives of far too many Americans.”
