Reddit Gives 2013 An Upvote, Saw Record 56 Billion Pageviews

Reddit has come a long way from simple beginnings in June 2005, and according to new data, saw record traffic in 2013 at 56 billion pageviews.

Yesterday, the social news site shared its yearly stats, and here were the results for 2013:

  • 56 billion pageviews
  • 731 million unique visitors
  • 40,855,032 posts
  • 404,603,286 comments
  • 3,676,091,578 comment votes
  • 3,037,413,635 link votes
  • 6.7 billion total votes

This is up from 37 billion pageviews, and 400 million unique visitors in 2012.

According to Reddit, here were the top 10 countries based on monthly unique visitors:

  • United States – 48,533,932
  • Canada – 7,415,650
  • United Kingdom – 6,164,527
  • Australia – 2,847,846
  • Germany – 2,143,252
  • Japan – 1,015,365
  • Sweden – 988,575
  • Netherlands – 940,352
  • France – 892,128
  • Brazil – 811,757

Luxembourg lead in average site duration with 32 minutes, 30 seconds.

While Reddit may be the Mecca for cat photos, it’s also full of advice like how to properly clean a stove.
