Real Life Instagram: Enjoying Photos In A Disconnected World

Instagram In Real life

Instagram currently has 150 million users who share photos and videos in real-time. So what happens when we disconnect from Instagram and use filters in real life? Artist Bruno Ribeiro decided to find out with his project Real Life Instagram.

Ribeiro not only uses real life photo filters to mimic the effects found on Instagram, he also incorporates a cardboard interface complete with likes, hashtags, and a comment button.

We all find new and exciting ways to express ourselves in our ever evolving world full of technology, but sometimes disconnecting shows us just how overly connected we have become.

I always find it a bit ironic that art projects meant to highlight a disconnected world are served up in viral fashion through the very web the project has disconnected from.
