Pinterest Unveils New Search Filter, Helps Users ‘Rediscover’ Their Own Pins

Pinterest Search Bar for Historical Pin Finding

Pinterest on Tuesday unveiled a new search filter that is designed to help users quickly find pins they posted in the past.

Using the new search feature is simple, just click on the search bar, begin typing a keyword or query and results begin to appear. If you want to check out your own pins exclusively just click on the “Just my pins” option.

If you want to save recipes, find arts and crafts you pinned in the past, and more, you can do it with the new Pinterest search feature.

Based on the new search feature Pinterest appears to be pushing users towards cataloguing the information they pin and repin, a move that could keep users on the site for longer periods of time, while encouraging the storage of data.

Users who use the right tags, keywords and descriptions could find themselves not only with a bunch of pins they never revisit again, but also with a useful data system.

The web-based version of the new search filter is slowly rolling out to Pinterest users now and the mobile app option for the same features is coming “soon.”

The new search feature arrives just shortly after Pinterest rolled out product pins, recipe pins, and movie pins.

Are you looking forward to checking out how the new Pinterest search filter can you find pins that have long been lost in a see of recipes, crafts, and other information?

  1. I love Pinterest. I do wish the app was a little easier to use. Sometimes it's hard to pin and continue browsing… it bumps me back to the top of the pins. I've had some great Pinterest fails and successes.
