Pinterest started testing Promoted Pins yesterday, and today announced a partnership with carrier Telefonica to preload its widget on Android devices.
According to the press release, O2 customers in the UK will get first dibs starting today.
Also, new Android handsets sold by Telefonica in Europe and Latin America will come with the special widget preloaded.
However, Pinterest says the widget will also be available through its official app on Google Play.
Pictured above, users will be able to see a constant stream of pins from those they are following on the social network, view notifications and search.
If you don’t have an account, the widget will display the most popular pins by default.
“Interests are global, which is why we want Pinterest to be available wherever people want to find ideas for the everyday projects in their lives and get inspired for the future,” said Don Faul, Head of Operations, Pinterest. “Telefonica is one of the world’s most advanced communications companies, and together we can provide a one-of-a-kind mobile experience to new and existing pinners around the globe.”
Telefonica customers outside of the UK will receive access to the widget “over the next several weeks,” and financial details of the partnership have not been disclosed.
