Pinning Memorial Day: Popular Parenting Pinterest Pin Picks

Patriotic Oreo Pops

Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States that occurs every year on the final Monday of May. The holiday is a day to honor all Americans who have died while in the military service. Memorial Day falls on May 27 this year. For my Popular Parenting Pinterest Pin Picks of the week, here are my top Memorial Day pins.

Popular Decoration Pin

For Memorial Day, I just put up two strands of red, white, and blue lights in my front living room window. Some parenting bloggers, however, get incredibly creative with decorations for the holiday. My top Memorial Day decoration pin is Memorial Day door decor from Cat’s Home and Holiday Decor.

Popular Healthy Treat Pin

Although decadent treats are the norm for holidays. However, healthier treats can also be fun. My top pick for a healthy treat for Memorial Day is Berry Blue Oatmeal Cupcakes from The Coach’s Oats Blog. Made with ingredients like blueberry puree, applesauce, and whole blueberries, these healthier muffins are sure to please on Memorial Day.

  1. I don't do Memorial Day anymore since I live in Canada. We do Victoria Day here, a week before. Regardless, I'm thinking those muffins you shared look pretty appealing!

  2. The sangria drink looks amazing, but I wonder what I could use instead of alcohol as we don't drink. I wonder if sparkling coder would work just as well. Either way I'm sure I could rig up a nice cool glass of non alcoholic goodness for summer! Thanks for the idea!
