Path continues to be a widely used mobile app and with a new update, it brings the ability for existing users to import content from Facebook, Instagram, and Foursquare.
Opening up the import feature has been a concern for the company. If done incorrectly, it can lead to users becoming overwhelmed by too much content.
Back in July, they added the import feature for new users when a new account was created. Now, they’ve given that same ability to existing users. The new update to version 2.5.6 also brings additional changes:
- More easy to write about, tag, and share moments.
- Quicker access to your photo gallery.
- Better manage your profile and connections within Settings.
- Various bug fixes and performance improvements.
To get started importing content from other services, make sure you have the latest update and navigate to Settings. Once there, you’ll see “Start Your Path” which now has Facebook, Instagram, and Foursquare.
Choose which services you’d like to use by clicking “Import.” A notification will appear saying that content will be shared selectively, not automatically. This is to keep Path from overwhelming users with too much content at once.
If the update hasn’t been pushed to your device yet, you can download it here to get started.
