A Montana pastor held what could be the shortest sermon ever, because football. Pastor Tim Christensen of Gold Hill Lutheran Church in Butte, is a 49ers fan, to put it mildly.
So, it’s no surprise that the pastor rushed through the service so he could get home in time for the kickoff between his team and the Panthers. So, sins? All forgiven. And communion? There’s wine and bread, so just help yourself.
With kind words and a kiss for each bicep, Christensen started taking off his Sunday best, revealing a 49ers shirt as he walked off the podium. The best part? His team won. Thankfully, the NFC Championship game starts at 6:30 pm (EST) Sunday, so he won’t have to skimp on the sermon again.
