Oreos: Popular Parenting Pinterest Pin Picks

Mini Oreo Cheesecake

Warmer May weather apparently means Oreos. When I opened Pinterest today, I was surprised to find so many pins focusing on Oreos from so many different users. I love Oreos, so I was of course thrilled to find so many yummy-looking recipes to add to my “Recipe Ideas” board. Here are my top favorite Oreo-inspired pins for the week.

Popular Cake Ball Pin

Cake balls and the related decadent treat truffles are always top repins on Pinterest. The truffle recipe that caught my attention this week is Oreo Truffles from The Cookin’ Chicks. Oreos, cream cheese, and chocolate: yum!

Popular Oreo Crust Pin

In addition to eating plain or with milk, Oreos make a great base for pie crusts. I can admit that I love chocolate and peanut butter pie with an Oreo crumble crust. Oreo cheesecake also sounds to die for. Thus, when I saw a pin for mini Oreo cheesecakes that uses a whole Oreo for the crust, I knew the cook at Three Square was a genius.

Popular Dip Pin

Oreo. Cookie. Butter. If peanut butter is good and pumpkin butter is even better, then Oreo butter must be to die for. I love the dark, bitter taste of an Oreo cookie, so turning Oreos into a cookie spread or dip via Cookistry sounds like a genius and delicious idea.

Popular Edible Craft Pin

Making edible crafts out of Oreos for the holidays is a clever idea that the kids are sure to love. My favorite edible Oreo craft pin is Oreo turkeys from ZipList.

Popular Homemade Oreo Pin

My favorite part of Oreos is the bitter chocolate cookie. As Oreo comes out with new kinds of the cookie, I keep hoping for a cookie without the cream. In the meanwhile, I can make my own chocolate Oreo cookies with a homemade Oreo recipe from My Kitchen Addiction that she claims tastes just like real Oreos.
