It was a meeting of old and new today during the first Star Wars: Episode 7 table read. Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher sat down with J.J. Abrams and some of the new cast members to read the new script and it looks like Luke Skywalker was impressed with his new Jedi crew.
Hamill took to Twitter to praise his incredible new cast.
UK table read- I was knocked out by the diverse & extraordinarily talented new cast members. WOW they're good! The saga is in superb hands.

Hamill will be reprising his role as Luke Skywalker in the new movie, while Ford and Fisher will take on the characters of Hans Solo and Princess Leia. Peter Mayhew is also coming back for Star Wars: Episode 7 to play the legendary Chewbacca.
New cast members include Daisey Ridley, Bryan Burk, Andy Serkis, Oscar Isaac, John Boyega and Adam Driver.
Abrams said: “We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again.”
Thx for all the notes of good wishes and support! Looking forward to exploring that galaxy far, far, away! #SWVII pic.twitter.com/y3OXh3IjdC
