Twitter is a great place to spread ideas and connect with friends. It’s also the number one location for snarky comments and mean tweets about celebrities.
Jimmy Kimmel aired another segment of “Mean Tweets” on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night. This time, the talk show host got Gwyneth Paltrow, Britney Spears, Gerald Butler, John Stamos and several more celebrities to read some of the mean things that have been said about them online.
A message on YouTube reads: “People are very quick to tweet unflattering things, but it’s important to remember that everyone has feelings. From time to time, we ask famous people to read some of the not-so-nice things that are tweeted about them. This is our 8th edition of Mean Tweets featuring Gwyneth Paltrow, Lena Dunham, Gerard Butler, Ty Burrell, Bob Newhart, Britney Spears, Geena Davis, Chris Pratt, Chloe Grace Moretz, Scott Foley, Michael Chiklis, Ted Danson, John Stamos, Lisa Kudrow and Adam Sandler. #MeanTweets.”
Some of the comments were weird (“Jon Stamos has a disgusting belly button”) while others were just mean (“shut the f*ck up Gwyneth Paltrow”).
Most of the celebrities simply laughed the comments on off but a few of them tried to respond. Adam Sandler attacked the camera and John Stamos showed his weird belly button. But Chloe Grace Moretz definitely had the best comeback.
After being told that she looks like “my a**hole,” Moretz responded: “Wow, you must have a really bleached a**hole.”
